The Scaveran Reptar is one of the many raptor types that inhabit Primeval Forests. Though rare, they also spawn in bogs. Quick and deadly, this creature combines leaping bites, razor sharp swiping claws and tenacity to bring down foes. This variant of raptor has adapted to hunting on many types of worlds, typically choosing flat plains in which it can easily spot prey to hunt. The spines on the Scaveran Reptar serve as a defense mechanism, used primarily as protection from larger predators. Upon spotting prey, the Scaveran Reptar let's out a deep call, signaling the hunt.

This creature is capable of a fast sprint, able to close distance to unsuspecting prey with ease. The Scaveran Reptar is capable of leaping at targets to catch prey in the air. It is advised to fight on the ground as the leap occurs less often to grounded targets, and can deal significant damage compared to it's grounded bites. Additionally, when attacking a single foe, this raptor excels, however becomes quickly distracted and disoriented when more than one meal presents itself.

All raptors are found on any form of Primeval Forest planets.

Professor Luna's Lab Notes

~ This creature's assets are pulled from the game Radiant Historia - which the raptor like creature appears as a monster called the "Basilisk". The original sprite-sheet used can be found here: https://www.spriters-resource.com/ds_dsi/radianthistoria/sheet/61678/

~ Spends little to no time in one place, and remains constantly on the move. Due to this, seeing this creatures idle animation is a rare sight.

~ This raptor seems to be a different project than the more common furaptor types found on Primeval Forest planets. In fact, this raptor is the only variety that may also be found on different types of planets - That I have yet to identify...
