Sulphuric Ixolings are a variety of Ixoling that live primarily in arid deserts, and toxic heated environments. Ixolings are small crawling enemies which appear most commonly in Ceremonial Hunting Caverns, primarily due to the presence of an Ixodoom. They'll appear in groups and can be dispatched relatively quickly because of their low health. At this young stage, an Ixoling poses little threat to most creatures, being soft shelled and vulnerable. This variety possesses more powerfully developed exoskeleton, capable of traversing dangerous environments more directly. The shell of this Ixoling takes on a deep yellow color with brown interlaced plating, in an effort to help camouflage the creature against the creatures more capable predators. Like other varieties of Ixolings, the Sulphuric Ixoling is capable of crawling along walls and up vertical surfaces. The plating on this variety of Ixoling is much thicker, encouraging hungry predators to seek other prey rather than to try and break through the toughened shell of the Sulphuric Ixoling.

The Sulphuric Ixoling is capable only of leaping toward a target with bared, developing needle like teeth and sharp pointy legs. Not the most capable in combat alone, these creatures most often travel in packs - choosing to attack en' mass, using numbers and overwhelming attacks to bring down bigger and stronger prey. Additionally, the exhalations of the Sulphuric Ixoling are toxic to most creatures, poisoning other creatures that breath in or bask in the small clouds it exhales.
