The Rot Anglure is a medium sized creature akin to it's relative the Anglure. Adapted to environments of madness and twisting mutation, this creature also hunts through deception using it's bio-luminescent stalk atop its head to lure in prey. The Tar Anglure has developed a sickly ashy yellow hide to help it blend in with it's environment. More-so, the Rot Anglure has also developed a tail that assists it in balancing and climbing the slippery gore fields of it's home. There are not many lights in the areas these creatures live, and so the presence of their bio-luminescence attracts all sorts of creatures to them - easy hunting. Be wary of a glowing light in the middle of a dead of night for it might just be your end rather than your salvation.

The Rot Anglure attracts prey by swaying it's maddening red lure in a dizzying pattern, seemingly capable of putting most creatures in a trance that results in the prey shambling toward the Rot Anglure without even their knowing. When close enough to prey, the Rot Anglure will exhale toxic yellow gas, that poisons and decays a targets organs from the inside. While not the most dangerous of attacks, it is when you are attacked at night, and at your most desperate when these creatures tend to strike. This is what makes an Anglure so deadly..

Rot Anglures can be found on any kind of Atropus and Nightmare Atropus planets.

Luna's Lab Notes

~ The Rot Anglure lets off an eerie light red glow that has a similar shining pattern as flashlights in game. Extraordinarily creepy in dark environments given it fills an area with a light foggy mist effect.

~ Intriguing enough, the sprite-sheet in this creatures file shows a sickly yellow skinned, red eyed anglure however when this creature is encountered in game, it has a crimson shell and dull red eyes. It is unclear what purpose the alternate sprite-sheet serves as it is not currently in use. A shame as I find it looks better than the one currently being used by the Rot Anglure.
