Dungeon Guide

Welcome to the Arena, i hope you like monsters and violence because you will get plenty of both. This mission is pretty straightforward: enter the arena, kill every monster and don't die. It is also one of the fastest extra dungeon to do... if you can survive it that is.

After beaming to the map, you will arrive in the competitors area. There's a cook downstairs who sell some foods. Once you're ready, head to the right to enter the Arena.

Cleaning up the arena

First you will need to clean up the remaining monsters of the last competitor: 1 Adult Poptop, 1 Scandroid, 1 Effigiflora, 1 Penguin armed with a rocket launcher, 1 Dusk Anglure and 1 small flying horror are waiting for you inside. After cleaning the remaining monsters, activate the console in the middle of the room to start the mayhem that is the Grand Arena. Note that there's several elevated platform in the arena that can give you an edge against some ennemies and there's a few lava pool on the ground that will open at some point of the fight.

Monsters waves

The monsters waves are the follow:

  • 2 Shadowtops and 2 Shocktops
  • 2 Snaunt and 2 Alpha Gleap
  • 6 Paratails, the lava pool open up
  • 1 Wraith and 1 Flesh Reaper
  • 4 Large flying horrors (the enemies made of random parts)
  • 2 Adultp Shadowtop, 2 Shadow Hounds and 2 Large flying horrors, the lava pool closes (What, were you expecting to kill the ground enemies in lava?)
  • 3 Rocket Launcher Penguins, 2 Effigiflora, 1 Scandroid
  • 2 Adultp Poptop, 2 Small flying horrors, 2 Dusk Anglure

After defeating the last enemy, the gate to the right will open, leading you to a room with a teleporter to leave the dungeon, the diamond pedestal to turn in and most importantly a good amount of chests.

Tips

The waves are based on a timer, so if you are to slow, the next wave will spawn while you are still fighting the previous wave, which can lead to a lot of enemies present in the arena at the same time (which usually isn't good for your health).

Lava immunity can be useful so you don't have to worry about the lava pools present during the flying waves.

The elevated platform can help you getting out of range of some ground enemies, mostly the very first wave. Shocktops and Shadowtops can't reach you up there. But you will quickly face enemies that can attack you on the platforms as well.

There's not many other tips about this dungeon: bring your best combat gear, try to kill the enemies as fast as possible to not get overwhelmed and try to survive. Pets and crew members can also be helpful to take of some heat from you and help you deal some damages.
