Poptops are a unique monster type, found generally in tranquil environments. They wander around aimlessly whistling to themselves, but when the player draws near they get aggressive, attacking with leaping bites and now, ranged slimy projectiles. Poptops are astoundingly adaptive, and have shown themselves to be quite resilient when faced with even the most extreme environments. Poptops are native to worlds of forest and tranquil environments, however due to the high demand for these creatures as pets, they have been spread to many worlds and planets they otherwise never would have been introduced too. This introduction of Poptops into different environments has lead to the recorded extinction of 300+ indigenous species, countless other wildlife, and lead to numerous biological adaptations and evolution within the species.

A slimy version of the Poptop, a Slimetop can be identified by the slime ichor leaking from it’s sickly green body, paired with two purple eyes. Slimetops have a unique tune that they whistle (Stardew valley?) and their eyes turn red when hunting. Slimetops are capable of walking along walls and ceilings. The orientation of the Slimetop is not guaranteed to be what you expect. The Slimetop vomits caustic acid after attacking, and can even fire globs of bile at range, aiding in hunting and digesting prey. Anything unfortunate enough to get caught in the vile substance produced my slimetops become afflicted with the “Slow” debuff, and are visibly covered in a green dripping liquids for a short time. Additionally, the Slimetop leaves pools of slime after attacking, covering everything in the vicinity with slime.

This monster does not possess a weakness (+50% damage taken) or a resistance (-50% damage taken) to any type of damage.

Slimetops can be found on Gelatinous and Strange Sea (plasmic fluid) planets and _______ biomes.

~ Slimetops constantly spawn slime and so this pet will flood, coat, and cover any indoor space with the sticky liquid. Very much not a cleanly pet. Take on a friends ship to upset them! Especially if they're Hylotl.
