A bizarre and otherworldly bipedal monster with a round spider for a head, Webber is a hostile walker about the size of a typical Starbounder that relentlessly pursues the target that drew its aggression.

Webber is not particularly fast, but will jump quickly like most bipedal walkers to reach its target. Aside from dealing contact damage, it attacks with double slashes using a knife, a clawed uppercut that hits on either side of itself and a ranged attack using a dart projectile. Webber uses these moves as soon as they come off cooldown, and will simply walk against the player during gaps in its moveset until they are ready. It also lunges at the player with a punching attack. Webber also inflicts a weak Poison effect with its attacks.

With its moderate speed and predictable moves, Webber is not a particularly dangerous foe and should be dispatched easily when expected. It does however pose a hidden danger among swarms of other spiderkin should a traveller plummet into an underground Spider Nest biome, since Webber's shadowy figure can be rather difficult to spot in such a poorly-lit biome save for its white 'humanoid' eyes inset among its six other eyes.

About 20% health is sufficient to Capture it.

Notes

  • Webber is a direct reference to the playable character of the same name from the Don't Starve video game - a boy that merged with a large spider that tried to eat him. They are also visually very similar, albeit the starkly different art styles of both games.
    • In said origin, Webber is able to spawn spiders indirectly by creating and using spider eggs to make spider-spawning dens. The description of a Captured Webber may be referencing this trait.
