Dark Matter (Metaphysics tree).Crystalline Skull is a tool to find the place where you died. Survival and Hardcore players can use this to recover their dropped items. You must use the Skull on the same planet where you died.
There are two ways to use the Skull:
- Costly and fast: Select the Skull and "squeeze" it by holding your left mouse button for 3-5 seconds. This will teleport you to the place, but it will also destroy the Skull.
- Preserves the Skull: Left-click the Skull (don't hold the mouse button). Animated particles will appear, and they will fly away in the direction to where you died. You can use the Skull as many times as you want, and knowing the direction of the particles is enough to find your corpse.
Limitations
The Crystalline Skull does not teleport you to your most recent death if:
- You died due to environmental damage (Proto-Poison, etc.),
- You died in the core ocean (not necessarily Lava) and/or by touching the bottom of the planet,
- You died of hunger.
Only the last death is remembered. If you die again while looking for your things, Crystalline Skull will forget the location of your previous death.
