Buggle is a unique type of Sporgus which has adapted to pollen rich environments. Possessing a rare blue mushroom atop it's back, this creature is highly sought by alchemists and adventurers alike for the healing and insectoid attraction properties the mushroom possesses. Taking full advantage of local insects, the Buggle has learned to concentrate the pollen within the air and mix it with it's own pheromones. This strange process results in spores that act as irresistible beacons to local insects. As such, the Buggle is typically engulfed in swarms of small pollen gathering insects, which it can command to attack as self defense by expelling it's spores toward a predator.
The Buggle is a typically harmless creature, though when it feels threatened, it commands swarms of poisonous stinging insects to attack aggressors relentlessly. Not the most direct method of attacking, the insects are primarily released from the Buggles back, meaning that keeping a fair distance from the creature is the safest approach.
Buggles are a unique monster found in _______.
Professor Luna's Lab Notes
~ Insects released from the Buggle explode into swarms upon contact with any surface or creature, causing the insects to linger and attack anything in the immediate area before dispersing and flying back to the Buggle.
~ These little creatures tend to congregate in similar areas, and use similar movement patterns. These tendencies results in many Buggles occupying the exact same space as others, resulting in a deceptively deadly "foe" as throngs of swarming insects are launched at anything that gets too close to the pile.
