Eden planets are mostly covered in grass and trees - similar to the vanilla Forest biome - with occasional lakes of Healing Water. Other sub-biomes containing snow or ice may be present. Very rarely will you find hostile creatures, but bandit camps are a common sight. Terramart, Infinity Express, Treasured Trophies, Frogg Furnishing and Penguin Bay stores might be found near bigger bandit camps and are collectible.
The surface is generally level, though hills may still generate. Hostile wildlife is minimal to absent throughout most of the surface, but take heed that surface sub-biomes may still spawn their respective mobs while will inherit the planet's threat level. The dirt may also tend to rise up in places in the form of a curved spire, forming a roofed space beneath. Large Eden planets may generate with as many as 6 of such dirt formations.
Where to find
They can appear around binary stars, red stars, and blue stars, but have the highest chance of occuring in binary star systems.
Codex Description
This eden has very little in the way of hostile life and very little darkness. A lovely place to build a home. Healing waters dot the surface.
This eden looks incredibly hospitable. I detect few life signs and ample Healing waters. An ideal place to make a home.
Bright and sunny most of the time, this eden awaits an intrepid explorer to make it a civilized stop along this star route.
Exploration
The relative safety of the planet has also made it a refuge for bandits. One may encounter several occupied outlaw camps and warehouses, housing hostile NPCs who are likely holding ranged weapons. No other significant threats are present on the surface, although sub-biomes may still spawn enemies.
The bandits will not respawn. Once they are dead, they are gone forever. This makes such worlds a great place to put a base once the local riff-raff has been cleared.
