The Ash Golem are similar construct creatures to their counterpart the Po Golems. However, rather than fecal matter making up their being, they are instead composed of organic, animated ash. Arguably more dangerous due to their increased speed of movement, and aggressive tendencies when compared to their counterparts. In the case of the Ash Golem it has two attacks; the first is a breath attack of superheated flames, inflicting burn and leaving motes of fire on the ground for a few seconds. The other attack is flinging a ball of tar at high speeds, that explodes on contact with a player and inflicts the tar status effect. If the ball does not make contact with a creature, it sticks to a surface and can detonate if touched, or disperse with time if nothing triggers it.

The best way to deal with the Ash Golem is either to bring a high-powered melee weapon to the fight, or use a gun to pick it apart at range. Be aware that closing into melee range means that unless you have a shield, you will almost certainly be burned, slowed, and hit for a considerable amount of damage.

Ash Golems can be found on Volcanic planets and on any kind of Infernus world. They can also be found in the Hellfire Field, Sludge Field, and Tar Pit sub-biomes.

~ When fighting an Ash Golem, one can use the air and vertical to their advantage, jumping into the air to strike the creatures back or dodge the Ash Golems flamethrower attacks. This strategy proves to be surprisingly sound thanks to the Ash Golems lack of vertical tracking and slow time to react.
