The Reaver Controller is a one-handed device that places the extremely useful flying Reaver vehicle in the world. Once you enter the vehicle you can freely fly around the map, including all the way into the Asteroid/Space layer of planets. Left-clicking will fire the Gauss Rifles used in the Reaver's construction. Flying vehicles are especially important when exploring particularly hostile environments like Gas Giants, as certain gas layers (e.g. Metallic Hydrogen) will defeat normal player options for flight.
