The primary fire is a long, thin projectile beam that pierces all terrain and enemies. This can very effectively damage any enemy that can be seen anywhere on the screen regardless of intervening blocks. The primary fire will occasionally hit an enemy more than once with the same shot, significantly increasing the damage-per-shot. Caution: this weapon has a large kickback which may cause you to fall if near a ledge.

The alt-fire creates an Energy Field centered at the end of gun barrel.
