Unlocked by Penumbrite Equipment (Armor and Weapons tree).

When thrown against a wall, they will bounce around like a boomerang. Although unlike boomerangs, they will not reduce in speed at any point. Being bounced off walls also extends their max distance. This makes them ideal for bouncing around corners or in a crowded room.

Besides this, they also pierce opponents and won't return once they hit an opponent, much like the Proto Chakram. Unlike the Proto Chakram however, they do not have any hang time, they will return immediately when they reach the end of their flight path.

Finally, they also briefly illuminate the area that they fly through, so they can be used to see into dark spaces (with some risk of accidentally hitting any neutral creatures that might be present).
