Greg is a viral condition that is named after a scientist called Greg. He was the first to discover it and unsuccessfully tried to prevent the outbreak, but it spread amongst his colleagues anyway, not just via direct contact but also via the galactic internet.
It seriously impacts speech, reasoning and the choice of clothing.
By doing tenant quests, it's possible to meet an NPC who will offer to be recruited as crew member with profession "Greg". It's also possible to find hostile Gregs in human-themed dungeons. They drop Greg Head when defeated.
When exploring, there is a chance that player will discover a rare research lab where this outbreak originated from. It contains many hostile Gregs, as well as multiple codexes where the scientists explain what was happening to them in great detail. If using the More Planet Info mod, the dungeon will be noted as "A military complex. Lifesigns and radio signals are abnormal."
