Gas Centrifuge processes 1 liquid every 0.52 seconds. It has the best conversion rates (produces more materials from the same amount of liquid). It can centrifuge items like Deuterium Rod, which can't be processed by other centrifuges.

Note that less advanced centrifuges (such as Industrial Centrifuge) may be faster, but their conversion rates are worse. Gas Centrifuge is about efficiency.
