It's incredibly cheap (needs only Iron Bar, which can be obtained on the first Garden planet), but you can only place 4 of these beds. If you try to place the fifth, it will drop as item.
To increase your limit by more than +4, you need to build more advanced (and expensive) beds, such as Crew Bed, Crew Bed (Vat), Crew Bunk (Wall), etc.
