Mantles are incarnations of the elements that make up the universe: air, earth, fire, and water. Though little more than animated energy at first, they can be focused and shaped by spellcasters and powerful beings through the creation and use of a magical core.

Aquamantles are the embodiment of water and flow through the air similar to a wave that rolls across the ground. It fires pressurized bursts of water at creatures that stand against it, crushing bones from the force of impact and filling lungs as easily as it douses fire.

This creature is capable of flight and is quite quick in it's movements, able to easily pursue and blast foes. There are two primary methods of attack a Aquamantle takes. The first being a barrage of 7 pressurized water blasts. Upon contact, these blasts will deal substantial damage and leave behind an small explosion of lingering mist. The second method of attack is a large AOE explosion in which 10+ waterblasts shoot out in every direction centered on the Aquamantle. This move can be dangerous to melee combatants due to the likelihood of being struck by multiple blasts all at once. This attack however poses little threat to ranged combatants as it is highly inaccurate and the projectiles dissipate quickly. Additionally, being struck by any of the Aquamantle's attacks causes the wet status, and create pools of water.

This creature can be found on the seafloor of Ocean planets and in all types of Estuary and Deep Sea Vent sub-biome.

Luna's Lab Notes

~ Aquamantles are highly aggressive creations and will often charge at targets dealing less damage than they would at range with their projectiles. During a charge the defenses and offensive capabilities of an Aquamantle drop significantly, leaving them open to a counterattack.

~ Interestingly, while Aquamantles are capable of flight, they seem to prefer to hover about four blocks off the ground at all times. Capable of aggressively pursuing targets via flight, an Aquamantle may get caught up on sudden changes in land elevations, running into large hills and showing perhaps their maneuverability is less impressive than at a glance.

~ This creature has high damage output but lacks a large pool of health. As such, a solid hit from a high damage weapon such as a sniper rifle, anti-material rifle, rocket launcher, or similar can quickly put this creature down from range before it becomes a problem.

~ If you're looking to flex on someone, this is the perfect creature to do so. Just look at the way it moves! Always stancing up and ready to dunk on anything that looks at it crossways.
