Ancient Temple: Secrets

The Ancient Temple hides 2 secrets: extra loot in the last room and a crew member.

Extra loot

In the last room of the dungeon, there are 5 locked doors. To open them, you need to activate 4 switch scattered through the dungeon. Each switch correspond to one of the four element and will open the door corresponding and activating the 4 switches will open the fifth door aswell.

Earth switch

The earth switch is located inside the cultists bedroom, near the main entrance of the temple. In the top left of the bedrooms, you can find a few crates. Behind those crates, you can find a small switch. Activating this switch will open a passage in one of the room of the bedroom. You will need a sphere tech to go through it. You will find the Earth switch in this room.

Water switch

In the temple garden, right of the bedrooms, you will find a small water pond. Dive down there and follow the tunnel, you will find the Water switch at the end.

Air switch

Inside the huge cavern before the room with the Aberrant Sentry, you can find the Air switch hidden in the top right. To reach it, you will either need a grappling hook, a spike sphere tech or a lot of rope.

Fire switch

The Fire switch is not so hidden that it is protected. In the room with the lava pool that you can drain and where you get attacked by hordes of cultists, you can find a console at the bottom once the lava is drained. This door does not only open the door of this room, it also open the Fire door in the last room.

With all those switches activated, you can get all the treasures in the last room of the dungeon.

The secret crew member

You can find a crew member hidden in this dungeon. He is trapped inside the room with the avian tombs. Be sure to interact with all wrapped corpses inside the room. When interacting with one of them, you will hear some muffled noises. Keep interacting with the corpse and you will free someone. Talk with him and you can recruit him as a crew member. He is an occult scholar who will provide you some buffs when exploring, mostly Insanity Immunity for 300s.
