The primary fire of this weapon causes multiple tentacles to extend from the barrel to a medium/long distance. The tentacles can linger for several seconds even after you stop firing. Enemies that come into contact with a tentacle will take damage every 1 second, per tentacle, subject to some cap (3-4). The tentacles provide no pushback, so in practice this weapon plays a lot like a very unique flamethrower.

The alt-fire sends a burst of 10+ tentacles in a close-range, roughly circular pattern around the player. This tentacle attack provides knockback and deals an instant amount of damage. Although the tentacles from this attack persist for a few seconds, they do not provide any continued damage like the primary fire.
