The Hunter Pteropod (Summoned) is a small flying creature akin to it’s relative the Pteropod. Adapted to environments of unforgiving forgery and hunting, this creature also stores precious and volatile liquids in the swinging sack beneath it’s torso. While it’s kin the Pteropod stores digestive juices and poisonous concoctions in its pouch, the Hunter Pteropod has adapted even more complex and viscous biological evolution. This creature contains within it's sack, deadly toxins and tiny crystalline molecules that in a moments notice, can be compressed and hardened into a sharp quill to fire. Firing from afar, the Hunter Pteropod (Summoned) zigzags and fires razor sharp quills that stick into surfaces and stay for about 10 seconds. Contact with these quills causes poison damage and inflicts the Poisoned condition which deals steady damage over time.

This creature is capable of quick flight, and combined with it’s small size, it can be a challenge to hit at range. This creature is steadfast in its defense of a summoner, and will constantly encircle it's master, firing sharp poisoned spines to any that would harm them. Additionally, this creature is unstable, it's inner contents built to a pressure so intense that upon death, it explodes into a toxic mist dealing damage to everything around it, friend of foe.

Hunter Pteropod (Summoned) cannot be found in the wild naturally, but instead is summoned by the player or NPC's.

~ The Hunter Pteropod (Summoned) is a creature that cannot be found naturally in the wild, but rather summoned through the special ability of a weapon called the Thorn Rifle. Using the special ability of this weapon will shoot a bloody glob-like projectile about 15ft in the direction of the cursor, upon reaching this distance, it pops and from the bloody sac a unique Hunter Pteropod is summoned to support the one who created it. (The summoned Pteropod will only attack creatures that have attacked the player. Not targeting hostile mobs like a captured creature might the summon is reactive rather than proactive).
